beautiful!!

Striking pose and beautiful colors.
The hand needs a bit more definition (knuckles for instance)
You got the basic shape right, but needs some refinement
Also a darker shadow underneath the chain would be good, as the lightsource is very strong and direct.
Overall this is an excellent piece
+ 9

It looks wonderful - the colors and the light is very well made! The shadows in his face makes him look mysterious and evil-like.
One crit: I really really think he should be gripping around the thickest part of the fire/glow. I get the impression he is a very strong man that grips the fire with power. Instead the fire looks like it's slipping out of his hand! So the man and the fire is not working together here.
Also, if he would hold around the thickest part, it would appear like he is holding an instrument, like perhaps a bow.
Except this, it's a really wonderful artwork!

luyudo: Merry Christmas you too ! Thanks for the nice words.
Vincent: every single comment you make is ALWAYs useful. I'm truly touched that you think this is an excellent piece and that it deserves a +9. Also, I totaly agree about the hand and shadow of the necklace. In fact, I wondered just before calling it done if the shadow should be darker. I'll fix it as soon as I go back to my place where I have real internet connection. I'm at my parent's house and internet is very crappy there, dial up connection, took me ages just to post this work! ... Thanks !
Gianna: I agree, the hand should use a bit more work. I'll try to fix it soon. Thanks!
Sandra: After reading your comment, I realiseed that the nature of the thing he's holding is not obvious. In fact, it's supposed to be a sword made out of fire. I guess I should make it cleared by modifying it's shape. thanks for your comment and nice words

(I agree that the hand needs more shape and detail)
I like the lighting affects a lot, and the changes you did to the face.
You're right, it looks better without a background
